Here’s some additional information about the MTYFA program:
EQUIPMENT POLICY: See the FAQ for details on the MTYFA supplied equipment and additional equipment that is not provided. Parents will be responsible for all supplied equipment that is lost, not returned at the end of the season, neglected/abused. Each player is expected to maintain and care for his equipment while it is in his possession. Only normal wear and tear will be acceptable.
FUNDRASIER: All players must participate I our fundraiser program OR pay a fundraiser opt-out fee. The fundraiser coordinator of the Association will present the fundraising program during the first week of practice. Money raised is used to purchase equipment, uniforms, insurance, and pay for other expenses incurred to maintain a quality youth football program. The MTYFA is a self-funded organization which relies on registration fees and fundraising for its financial support.
CODE OF ETHICS: Parents, coaches, and player Code of Ethics are specifically addressed in the Manheim Township Youth Standards for Football booklet. Additional points can also be found in the FAQ. Adherence to these policies will be strictly enforced and parents, coaches, and players will sign Code of Conduct agreements.
PLAYING TIME: The Manheim Township Youth Standards for Football specifically addresses minimum playing expectations. Additional details can also be found in the FAQ.
VOLUNTEER POLICY: 100% cooperation is expected when called upon by the MTYFA. Volunteer efforts are needed for the game day activities including: concessions stand, press box, chains, stadium clean up, JV games, etc. Please assist the MTYFA in making the season a success for all of the participants by volunteering your time. Effective for fall 2011 season, every player and cheerleader parent will be pre-assigned a one-hour shift to cover the work responsibilities of our home games. If you are not able to fulfill the assigned date and time, you will be responsible for getting a sub to work in your place. If you have questions or difficulty finding a replacement for your shift, you may contact your team’s parent representative, coach or the volunteer coordinator. If you prefer to sign up for certain home game jobs/shifts, please contact the volunteer coordinator to accommodate your requests as the schedule is now available for sign ups. This year’s volunteer coordinator is Jeanine Hurley at email address the4hurleys@comcast.net
